Economic Impact:

As this industry continues to develop, biomanufacturing jobs will continue to grow and more job openings will establish. Employment in New York’s biotech and pharmaceutical industries grew by 3.6 percent between 2000 and 2003, adding almost 2,000 jobs despite a national recession. Although, a major push in reasearsh in this area of biotechnology is something to look foward to, it will cost a lot of states an immense ammount of money. It will also cost in researching different plants all over the world and testing them.

 Political Impact:

Biomanufacturing also has its share of effects in the political world. A big interest to the role of public policy in biotechnology has lead to international competitiveness. The United States has been noted to have the strongest comittment to basic research in the biological sciences. Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom, on the other hand, have all funded great amounts to generic applied research in biomanufacturing. Although the government policy in biomanufacturing is different in Japan because of lack of university research in life sciences, Japan still plays its role in discovering new information about plant research for treatments for cancer. The U.S. and the United Kingdom have simalarly impacted biomanufacturing with their government patterns.  In the United States of America, California and New York both have had a great political impact on the studies of biotechnology by using federal funding for basic and applied research. Altogether, financing and tax incentives for firms and different laws have influenced competitiveness in biomanufacturing and also in biotechnology.

Social Impact:

The impact of biomanufacturing does not just effect the biotechnology industry but goes beyond that: it affects our daily life. Biomanudfacturing has helped us find possible treatments of cancer and learn more about its causes. Advertising can have major impact on society. It brings awareness to the average person and can also make a path to finding actual cures for cancer. If many people become aware of the research in this industry there would be a rise in intrest of study in this field and researched discoveries can happen faster. Countries that become aware of biomanufacturing can contribute by providing the acess of certain plants that grow in thier enviroment.

Also, many people wonder  if recombinant DNA technology is safe and scientist have concluded that ""there is no evidence that unique hazards exist either in the use of R-DNA technique or in the transfer of genes between unrelated organisms,"" and that ""the risks associated with the introduction of R-DNA engineered organisms are the same kind as those associated with the introduction of unmodified organisms."'
